You Mean This Isn’t My House?

A Thousand Oaks couple were awakened late one night to discover a large, shadowy figure standing in their bedroom. Concluding that the figure was too large to be one of their children, the husband chased the intruder out of the house.

Responding deputies soon located a man standing on a nearby street corner and trying really, really hard to look casual.

The man was detained and determined by deputies to be drunk. He was subsequently identified by the homeowners as the intruder, according to police.

Overnight accommodations were made for him at the local jail.

On another night in another part of the city, police responded to a report of a suspicious person standing in someone’s front yard.

Deputies met the suspect as he was walking away from a yard with a bicycle. He was uable to explain how the bicycle came into his possession. The only thing of which he seemed to be sure was that he used the front yard as a toilet.

Police say they determined that the suspect entered the side yard and stole the bicycle. They further claim that he opened a residential door, but was confronted by the homeowner and his large dog.

The man is also believed to be linked to two other prowling reports.
