Three Calabasas Organizations Join Forces to Provide Small Business Help
April 29, 2010
The Small Business Development Center has entered into a partnership with two other organizations to provide small business entrepreneurs and owners in Calabasas with inexpensive training and free consulting.
The center, which the College of the Canyons hosts, joined with the Calabasas Chamber of Commerce and the city of Calabasas to form the partnership. The city and the Chamber will provide the facilities at which the free counseling services and inexpensive workshops will be held, while the SBDC will organize and provide the business advisers and workshop trainers.
Starting next month business advisers from SBDC will host regular seminars and workshops on topics such as business financing, email marketing tools, human resources, increasing sales and business start up and expansion.
The new Calabasas Civic Center Training Facility will host the first workshop, “The Power of E-mail Marketing,” in its training room on Wed., May 19 from 10 a.m. to noon. Those who want to avail of consulting services can do so in the board room at the Calabasas Chamber of Commerce. Contact the SBDC at 661.362.5900 for additional information.
