The Agoura Animal Shelter has lowered animal fees to encourage more adoptions in the holiday season.
The Save-A-Life program runs at 14 area shelters and ends on Christmas eve.
During the program, it will cost $30 to adopt a dog or cat, including the spaying and neutering fee, instead of the regular $100 fee for a dog and $90 for a cat. Animal licenses are extra.
The Agoura shelter, at 29525 Agoura Road, is open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday except Wednesday, when it stays open to 7 p.m. It is closed on Sundays and holidays.
