Local Man Arrested on Fraud Charges

Police have arrested a paralegal administrator with homes in Calabasas and Woodland Hills with 22 counts of fraud for his alleged participation in an auto insurance fraud ring.

Alex Shidlovitsky, 56, will be arraigned Monday at the downtown Los Angeles County Courthouse.

Also arrested were an attorney, two chiropractors and two other paralegal administrators. Authorities are still looking for a third chiropractor accused in the case in which the seven are accused of filing false claims for staged accidents. The group allegedly defrauded 19 insurance companies for nearly over a half-million dollars.
