New Calabasas Mayor: Jonathon Wolfson

Jonathon Wolfson is the new mayor of Calabasas.

In Calabasas, voters elect city council members directly. The city council then chooses mayor and mayor pro tem each year from among themselves.

Councilman Barry Groveman was chosen in as the new mayor pro tem. Former mayor Mary Sue Maurer remains on the city council.

Wolfson was elected to the Calabasas City Council in 2005 and officially became Mayor on March 25, 2009 after winning his second term in office. He is a lawyer for Cinmark Company, which is a Northridge based owner and operator of industrial buildings. He has also served as Executive Vice President of Congregation Or Ami.
