What are the normal hourly rates and duration of a session?

Hey, check the local craigslist. I am sure private tutors post their services on it.

I think the minimum is around $30/hr for a personal session. Yes, its expensive.

Private tutors are expensive. I think a group session comprising 2-3 students is much better and cost effective. However, if you do need personalized service, then get a one-to-one tutor.

Calabasas High School Parent Faculty Club is presenting ACT and SAT Boot Camps in January & March '10 (respectively) in conjunction with CatalystPrep.com. It works out to be a fundraiser for the PFC, so they might be okay with non-CHS students participating. Or check out Catalyst's website.
