Congressman Speaks to Local Democrats

Rep. Henry Waxman told his audience at the Democratic Club of the Conejo Valley that in his view, partisanship D.C. has never been higher during his time in Washington, D.C.

Waxman, whose district spreads from Calabasas to West Hollywood, has represented the area since 1975. He rarely faces serious electoral opposition and was completely unopposed in 2008.

“The Republican view seems to be if they can keep Obama from being successful, then they can say the Democrats aren’t capable of governing,” he told the audience of about a hundred people on Sunday.
