They almost made it.
A Calabasas couple heading to Cedars-Sinai Medical center came close to reaching the hospital, but nature beat them to the punch.
Instead, the mom told her husband to pull over at L.A. Fire Department Station 99, where eight paramedic firefighters had recently, and fortunately, completed a refresher class on delivering babies. The couple arrived at the station shortly before 6pm on Tuesday and the baby was born without medical complications.
They were then taken to the UCLA Medical Center.
LAFD’s Brian Humphrey said, “As luck would have it, four of the eight personnel in the station were emergency medical technicians, two were paramedics, and there was also a pair of medically trained arson investigators.”
This was the couple’s second child.

Talk about luck! Hope the mom and the baby are doing fine.
Yep, and kudos to the Fire Dept. personnel for doing a fine job.
