Calabasas DUI Checkpoint Friday Night

The sheriff’s department has announced that it will conduct a DUI checkpoint starting at 6pm Friday night, February 19, going through 2am the next morning.

While the exact location was not disclosed, it’s usually on Las Virgenes Road about a mile south of the 101 Freeway.

Last year, 1,029 people were killed on California roads by drunk drivers and another 28,457 were injured in collisions that involved alcohol.

If you see a drunk driver on the road, dial 911 and be ready to describe the vehicle, its location and direction of travel.
