Calabasas Commons Sues Harry Hamlin and Lisa Rinna

October 27, 2009

The Commons at Calabasas has sued TV host Lisa Rinna and her husband, actor Harry Hamlin, over back rent the company says is due after the couple closed their boutique Belle Gray.

The complaint, filed in Los Angeles Superior Court says the couple broke their lease four years into the 10-year agreement and owes $635,083.73 in back rent and damages.

Rinna denies that, posting on the internet that their version is “a very different story. Let the games begin!”

“Due to the recession we had to close our store at the Commons,” she wrote. “We tried desperately for a year to keep it open…We had hoped to settle this privately and in court but I see that (Commons owner) Caruso would rather play this out in the press. Shame.”

“We tried to get them to negotiate with us Many times to NO avail so we had no choice but to close does it suck yes it does! Are we alone NO!”

Belle Gray was named for Rinna and Hamlin’s daughters, Delilah Belle and Amelia Gray. The couple’s Sherman Oaks location is still open.
