Bus Accident on 101 in Calabasas Injures 30

The California Highway Patrol reports that 30 people have been treated for smoke inhalation as a commuter bus on the 101 in Calabasas caught fire. Most injuries were minor, although at least two people were transported by ambulance.
CHP Officer David Porter told the AP that the fire was first reported at 6:45am and that the bus had been completely evacuated by the time responding authorities arrived.
The bus was a Commuter Express, operated by the city of Los Angeles’s Department of Transportation. They state thir transit fleet consists of almost 400 vehicles and serve about 30 million passenger boardings per year.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
