Britney Stalker Nabbed in Calabasas
April 18, 2009
CALABASAS–Sheriff’s Deputies arrested a woman wearing camouflage outside of Britney Spears’ Calabasas home. The 26-year-old was caught by security guards as she was peeking into windows at the singer’s home carrying camera gear.
Spears, who sang Thursday night at the Staples Center, was not home at the time of the incident.
The woman, Miranda Tozier-Robbins of Fitchburg, MA, had twice auditioned for “American Idol,” both times singing Spears’ songs and both times being rejected.
Simon Cowell said she was “terrible” and told her to “stop singing.”
“Every day I visualize those three people standing about 10 feet in front of me,” she wrote.
Tozier-Robbins was cited for misdemeanor trespassing and disorderly conduct. “She wasn’t exhibiting anything for us to be concerned,” Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department spokesman Steve Whitmore said. “We believe it was probably a paparazzi incident.”
She is due in court on June 16.
