Albertsons Thief Had Very Full Pants
October 28, 2011
A shoplifter at the Albertsons on Agoura Road allegedly used a “pants girdle” to help himself to meatballs and tequila.
Police found a suspect with the following in his pants: a bottle of tequila “Corralejo” blue, a bottle of Jose Cuervo Silver tequila, chicken meatballs, chicken salad and macaroni & cheese. He was actually wearing two pairs of pants, with the inside pair taped around the ankles to stop the stolen items from falling out the bottom.
But the suspect had a story of his own. He told police that he took the food because he was hungry and stole the booze so he could sell to buy food for his son. There was no explanation why he didn’t just steal more food for his son. The suspect also had three outstanding arrest warrants with a total of $80,000 in bail money.
